Reflection Walks
BackIt was wonderful that all 12 Year 7 tutor groups were recently able to take part in a Reflection Walk to Reigate Hill and back. The groups experienced a range of weather, from beautiful sunshine on the first Friday, to dramatic downpours on Tuesday, but they faced every walk with enthusiasm and determination (and no complaining...despite the rain!) The walks involved some time on Reigate Heath playing parachute games, a steep ascent to the top of Reigate Hill, lunch and a rest on the crater overlooking the view and a drink and snack from the cafe on the way back!
Students relished the opportunity to chat to friends, old and new and get to know their peers better. They motivated each other on the hill and it was lovely to see friendships blossom. We enjoyed four reflections during the walk thanks to the chaplains. I would like to thank all the tutors and staff who accompanied the trip and the students for making the walks so enjoyable.
We are also very grateful to Reigate Squash Club for allowing us the use of their facilities en route.
