St Bede’s Year 11 students have achieved incredible GCSE results this summer. The school has achieved its best ever results and I am particularly pleased with the achievements in English and maths. I am immensely proud of every student within this year group as they have all shown great resilience and character and thoroughly deserve this success.  

Our headline figures include 92% of students achieving a grade 4 or above in English and 92% achieving the same in maths. Well over 40% of results achieved by our students this summer were the top grades of 9-7. Results right across the curriculum are incredibly strong. Year 11 thoroughly deserve this success and despite all the challenges which they have experienced they have achieved the best ever GCSE results in the school’s history.  

I would like to congratulate Year 11 on their GCSE success this summer as well as thank each and every teacher who went above and beyond to support students and ultimately help them achieve these fantastic results. St Bede’s will continue to provide support for those students who need further help and advice. Should this be the case we encourage students to make contact with Mr Blount or Mr Saunders who will be on hand to help.  

Mr Mason, Mr Blount and I are delighted with the achievements of our students and we wish to acknowledge all the hard work that they have put into their studies over the last two years. We look forward to welcoming the majority of this year group into the Sixth Form next week at our Year 12 Enrolment Day and we will quite rightly celebrate the GCSE successes in the autumn term.
